I have always lived by the phrase ‘a house is not a home without a dog’ just because I feel that a dogs presence lightens up any room, and can make any situation better. This also applies to cats, however normally they’re off doing their own thing or gifting you with dead birds, so less cute in my opinion.  I have always had a dog in my life, until I moved away from home. I wasn’t allowed pets in my flat and it wouldn’t be fair to leave them all alone all day while I was at work 14 miles away.

All I would say is if you are looking at getting a pet, a dog in particular make sure you are ready to change your life completely as puppies are very demanding, and although they are cute they wee on your floor and ruin your clothes. This post may apply more to people who already have pets. Maybe a nice grown up well behaved dog, like my parents dog Bo. He’s a chocolate cockapoo and is honestly the best dog in the world, so cute, so loving and very well trained. While Bertie is ticking all the cute and loving boxes he isn’t as well trained. He’s good, but he is still a puppy so will have the odd accident here or there.

This is Bo and I in 2011, I love this dog so much! I had a thought the other day, how is it possible to love an animal so much when they can’t actually tell you they love you back, they only show it. You don’t spend hours doubting if your dog loves you or not you just accept the good times for what they are, you argue but at the end of the day you love each other no mater what. People should base their human relationships the way we (I) love our dogs.

I love my pets with all of my heart and get a bit weird around them. People around me are beginning to hate me as my ‘dog voice’ is so irritating.  My dog voice is kind of how you would talk to a baby but sooo much more excitable, I can’t help it. I even do it to strangers dogs, I just love them OK!? LOOK AT HIS LITTLE FACE HOW COULD YOU NOT LOVE HIM!

To be fair, he’s a lot bigger and more smelly now but still cute right?

The main point of this post is to show you that you can treat your pets as they deserved to be treated. I’m sure you may have a monthly subscription to something you love, or maybe you’ve tried a Graze box subscription or Glossybox? This is similar but its for your pets. Cat or Dog they tailor the boxes to your pets breed age and size and they are purfect (I hate myself for that but hey what can I say!?)

Bertie and I received this Pawsome Box which was filled with so many goodies. This toy was his favourite, it kept him quite for such a long time although he has destroyed it now and it no longer squeaks he still carries it around with him. He also got lots of treats and a cool water bowl which you can freeze. Bertie isn’t one to give up, so when it’s hot and I’m outside he will be with me until I come in. So he gets very hot and doesn’t know what to do with himself. I give him ice cubes, but he cant exactly drink them straight away, so this freezing bowl has saved us the headache of warm water!

You can sign up to this here  and you can get a £5 discount using code ukbxhdtl just a little FYI I don’t get paid on this I was just asked to review it. You can choose from 1 month, 3 month, 6 month or 12 month subscriptions. You get £40 worth of products for less than £20 so its a win win, plus you get £5 off with my code!

I would love to see if any of you treat your pets to this it’s such a great idea. I’m a tad lazy, I hate to admit it but I am. So the idea of someone making a box of goodies for my baby, and then posting them to me is right up my street!
