One of my biggest new years resolutions was to save more money. I need to save about 3 grand for a cruise this year. I have never had savings. This year I opened a savings account and started to plan my finances, I’ve managed to save over £500 which is a MASSIVE achievement for me. While I’ve saved, I’ve not changed any habits, just moving money out of my reach so I can’t spend it. Here are some tactical suggestions on how to save money every day of the week.

If you are one of the many people who struggles to make it through the month then you are not alone. The problem with cutting back on expenses is that you may not feel as though it makes a difference and you may not also feel like you can really enjoy yourself if you don’t have the luxuries in your life that you have now. The truth is that it is more than possible for you to save money on a day to day basis and it is also more than possible for you to turn things around as well.

Cut the Cable

If you pay for extra channels, cable or even if you pay for a subscription service then you will want to stop all of this if possible. You can actually access a lot of channels for a lot cheaper, and if you cut out your TV altogether then this will put you even closer to your financial goal. Of course, if you are concerned that you are going to have nothing to do after work if you do cut out TV then try and scale things back a bit and try and make the effort to reduce your channels, bit by bit. Even this can make all of the difference to your spending and your budget.

Annual Passes

If you workout then why not switch to an annual payment? When you do this, there are usually huge discounts to be had and there are also so many ways for you to use their facilities as well. You can go swimming, play badminton or even use the weight room without paying extra in most cases, and when you have a yearly membership you may find yourself more motivated to go to the gym. When you workout properly, you are much less likely to spend money on junk food, going out at the weekend and more, so there really are huge benefits to doing this and you’d be surprised at the effect it could have on your life.

Don’t Go Out For Coffee

You may feel as though going out for a coffee on your work break is one of the best ways to unwind, but in reality, it could be costing you a small fortune. You may love the coffee that you get at the local coffee shop, but at the end of the day this could also be burning a hole in your finances. You have to make sure that you make coffee at home and resist the urge to go out for a latte. Even if you save a little bit each day, by the end of the month, this can make a huge difference and it is one of the best ways for you to make a daily difference. If you can’t stand the thought of ground coffee, why not invest in a coffee grinder? This will give you the chance to grind up full beans, just like they do at the coffee shop. The smell of fresh coffee in your home every morning will be enough for you to give up lattes for good and they really are a worthy investment for any coffee lover.

Never Shop on Impulse

If you want to buy something, you may feel the urge to checkout right away and you may even feel as though some things just can’t wait. The best thing that you can do here is wait 48 hours before you checkout with something. Nowadays it is all too easy for you to go out and buy something on impulse and this can cost you a lot of money. For this reason, you need to wait to see if you actually need to buy the item before you go ahead and do it. A 48 hour wait can really help you to gain clarity on something and it also gives you time to go out there and find a better deal as well. The main thing that you have to do here is be mindful with your spending and know what is a want and what is a  need. If you don’t need it then you really don’t have any reason to go out and buy it, so be smart and never do any shopping on impulse alone.

Be Better at DIY

You may not be very good at DIY and this can make it very hard for you to get various jobs around the house done, but if you are paying a small fortune every time the toilet leaks or if you are paying all of the time to get your drawers fixed then it will help you to do it yourself. It doesn’t take long to learn how to do something and there are plenty of DIY videos out there that can help you as well. When you do start doing things yourself, you can even look into home beauty treatments, or life hacks for around the home. This can make all of the difference with your budget and it can also really change your life as well.

Use Coupons

If you know that you have various health issues then why not consider using a Symbicort coupon? This is the best way for you to make the most out of the money that you have and you don’t have to compromise either. If you think about it, deals and discounts are being hosted all of the time and when you do have a coupon, you can easily save even more money. When you look around for coupons, it helps to do this online because when you do look for coupons online, you’ll be able to try out the different codes and if one doesn’t work then you can easily move onto the next one. When you do it this way, you can save a fortune and you can also do all of your shopping without having to feel guilty about how much you are spending.

So there are plenty of ways for you to save money on a day to day basis and if you really devote yourself to your own cause then you may not even feel like you are trying to save at times!
