Myself, Maddie and Chloe all met up to go to this event together. I didn’t actually know it was an event, I would have been incredibly nervous if I did so probably a good thing. I’d never had greek food before so I was frantically asking everyone I knew ‘WHAT DO I DO!?’ but no one knew. Not incredibly helpful but nonetheless I trotted off into town to meet the girls for the meal.
The decor of this place is incredible, marble tables and patterned floors, it’s an instagrammers dream.
As a virgin in the world of greek food, I didn’t know what to expect. I had no expectations, but if I did they would have been blown away. I cannot fault this place. The staff themselves were amazing, so helpful, especially considering we didn’t have a clue what we were doing. The bar tender was AMAZING, a true artist. I don’t know how I can put into words (great blogger alert) how amazing these were. We had a shot of something that had aniseed in, which I hate, but it was so subtle it actually had a lovely taste. You can tell that everyone who was working there was 100% committed to making sure everyone had an outstanding experience. This is the first restaurant opened outside of London, and I am so smug (and grateful) at the fact they chose Southampton as their first.
I went back into the office today (event was yesterday) and I was telling everyone GO THERE NOW. It is hands down the best meal I’ve ever had in my life. The halloumi was INCREDIBLE. I can’t stop thinking about it. I will be going back very soon!
Heres the best bit (the food) the idea is you ‘eat together’ so rather than having one main meal, its almost tapas, we all chose a selection and shared them all between us. I didn’t think this would fill me up but oh my goodness I was so full, it was brilliant.
