AW17 Outerwear Hero – Tran-seasonal Staple Piece #AD

Firstly let’s talk about how terrible the weather has been right?!

I, like most of you, am British and love a good old chat about the weather, but as a southerner from an island I love the beach and having a tan, and this year I just feel let down. Let’s say I’m not angry at the weather, I’m just disappointed.

Seeing as we’re pretty much already transitioning to the colder part of the year I’m looking at how I, and you can stay warm but on trend this summer/autumn switch up.

This gorgeous red bomber from Matalan is my hero piece this season. Dress it up or dress it down it’s gorgeous. I’ve said it once, and I’ll say it again I am SO LAZY and I love more than anything to be super comfortable. For this look I teamed the red bomber with some grey skinny’s, white knitted top with frills to finish, alongside a black and white shirt to tie around my waist to as a bit of texture and pattern. I opted for some beige/sand Chelsea style boots because as you know I’m a sucker for a good booty.

From a nice stroll with the dog, to coffee with friends this jacket served me well. It is such a statement on its own it’s so easy to dress around it, and when your jacket is your staple piece in your outfit you have a perfect excuse for keeping it on when you’re freezing.

As a little side note I’d like to mention the fit of this jacket. I normally go up several sizes in coats because I like oversized things but this one is a 10 (my normal size) and it fits so lovely. It’s not too long so it doesn’t engulf you, the arms aren’t too short so your wrists aren’t cold the pockets are actually real and deep (hallelujah)!

Get this staple piece from Matalan quick before it’s sold out. It’s part of the Now or Never deal and it’s only £20!!
